Top 10 Uniforms In College Football
With the new NCAA Football game from EA Sports set to drop this month under the name CFB 25, many are ready to relive the nostalgia of the old NCAA Football games that we used to love. This new game version will include an online dynasty with up to 32 friends. Everyone will be digging in with some buddies, ready to win recruiting battles and dish out NIL deals to land big prospects.
But what team should you pick? Having nice jerseys is important to consider when making these massively important decisions. You have to look at your team every game, and you might as well look good.
10. Notre Dame Fighting Irish
A classic. No matter how you feel about Notre Dame as a team, you have to admit that they have clean jerseys. The gold helmets are nice. It falls in the same category as teams like Florida, Texas, Miami, and LSU. Classic gems in the college world. They’re almost unanimously loved. These uniforms will likely pop in today’s advanced graphics video games.
It depends on what the university submitted to EA Sports, but when Notre Dame decides to use green with the navy blue and gold, it will look great. Hopefully, that’s an option in the game.
9. Ole Miss Rebels
In my opinion, red, white, and blue will always look good. Especially in the case of Lane Kiffin and the Ole Miss Rebels, who know how to dress. They have a bunch of great combos down there in Mississippi, especially those powder blues that they break out sometimes. Fire.
Always a big fan of white helmets with white facemasks as well which is an option here at Ole Miss. Pair that white jersey with white pants and sheesh. Look good, Feel good, Play good, right?
8. USC Trojans
This one could be nostalgia from those old USC teams being so electric to watch, but the maroon-on-yellow combo is always good if you ask me. Look at some other teams that have it like the Washington Commanders and Cleveland Cavaliers. They have some good jersey combos. Sure, that Commanders alternate is questionable but we won’t talk about that.
7. Oregon Ducks
The Oregon Ducks have a chance to be the most used team in CFB 25 with all the crazy jersey combinations that they have due to their relationship with Nike. They have so many awesome ones that it almost doesn’t even matter what they submitted to EA Sports, it will be sweet.
The green and yellow combination is a good one, and when Oregon gets the silver or black involved it never misses. They even had the pink ones they broke out back in the day that were great too.
6. Florida State Seminoles
This one piggybacks off of the USC pick. The burgundy and gold don’t miss. Add that to the gold helmet with the arrow and the gold pants, and it is a great look. It could potentially fall into the classic category as well.
These are closer to the Cleveland Cavaliers than the Washington Commanders, but the gold just looks a little sharper than the yellow. Who didn’t love the Jameis Winston Seminoles? The only problem here? You might get left out of the playoffs if you choose this team.
5. Ohio State Buckeyes
This one also falls into the classic category. The Ohio State jersey has been beloved for a long time and hasn’t changed much over the years. Scarlett and Gray are undeniably great together—even a Michigan fan could admit that.
Sometimes the Buckeyes will mix in a black jersey too that goes hard. Black and red is always good and when you mix in the little hits of gray it makes it that much cleaner. There are pros and cons to picking Ohio State in CFB 25. The pro is that you get a free win each season against Penn State. The con is that Michigan has a free win over you every season.
4. UCLA Bruins
If you choose the UCLA Bruins on CFB 25, you’ll have some beautiful powder blues mixed with that gorgeous gold helmet. Something I’m finding out here is that I’m a sucker for a gold helmet. They always look good, in my opinion.
In addition to the great jerseys, you’ll also get to play in sunny California, so that’s a plus. I can’t guarantee you’ll have many fans, but you look good and are in a good location, at least. Recruiting should be relatively easy there.
3. Tulane Green Wave
You might have a little harder time recruiting top prospects to Tulane, but if you can make it happen, they might be some of the best dressed in the NCAA. A lot of people probably don’t even know where Tulane University is located, but it’s down in New Orleans, Louisiana.
The Green Wave has an elegant combination of green, powder blue, and white. Word doesn’t do them justice; you just have to see them yourself. No chance you can look at what the Green Wave has going on and say it looks bad.
2. TCU Horned Frogs
After making a run in the College Football Playoffs recently, the TCU Horned Frogs got some national exposure, which showed a lot of people how awesome their uniforms are. However, the real ones remember Trevone Boykin and those Horned Frogs back in the day.
Purple never misses, and it certainly doesn’t here. The Horned Frogs wear some of the best jerseys in College Football. They almost remind me of the Baltimore Ravens, one of the better jerseys in the NFL. Unfortunately, they just downgraded their uniforms in real life, but hopefully, the old ones are in the game for the year.
1. Tennessee Volunteers
Come on. You knew it was coming. No list of best college football jerseys is complete without these guys. The creamsicle orange and white of the Tennessee Volunteers is my unanimous number one jersey in college football. It can’t be beat.
The checkerboarded endzone will also be great in the game, and the crowd will be loud. Hopefully, the university submitted the black jersey to EA Sports as well because that will be a beautiful little change-up. If one of your friends hasn’t called it already, this would be a good pick in CFB 25.
