Top Five 2024 WNBA Super Stars

2023 WNBA Finals

Rookies are overrunning the WNBA, bringing new energy to the league. While fans appreciate their enthusiasm, some veterans have mixed feelings. Let's explore five of the biggest superstars in the WNBA.

5. Angel Reese

Angel Reese

The Bayou Barbie, Angel Reese, is already a standout player in the WNBA. As a rookie, her powerful presence, exceptional rebounding, and defensive skills have made her a superstar in the league. Whether you want to admit it or not, she is a young and tough player that deserves recognition.

4. Cameron Brink

Cameron Brink

Cameron Brink, the newest addition to the Los Angeles Sparks, holds the number four position. Her presence in Los Angeles marks the beginning of her rise to superstardom. Brink's defensive skills have already made a significant impact on the league. Her athleticism, defensive prowess, and versatility indicate that she is destined to become a star in the league.

3. A'ja Wilson

A'ja Wilson

A'ja Wilson is the MVP of the league and of the reigning WNBA Champions, the Las Vegas Aces. "Superstar" is practically in her name, in my opinion. Wilson is both an All-Star and a walking double-double player. This year, she is averaging 28 points, 11.8 rebounds, 2 assists, and 1.9 steals per game.

2. Sabrina Ionescu

Sabrina Ionescu

Sabrina Ionescu of the New York Liberty is widely recognized for her training with Kobe Bryant, which is evident in her playing style. She is an all-around player known for her scoring, playmaking, and defensive abilities, as well as her leadership and clutch performances.

1. Caitlyn Clark

Chennedy Carter and Caitlin Clark

Caitlin Clark is dominating the league. It hasn't been long, but when everyone hates you, you know you're doing something right. She's averaging 16.8 points, 5 rebounds, and 6 assists and already has a 30-point game as a rookie. Clark is more than just a shooter. She possesses exceptional court vision and a competitive mindset.

Summary

Cameron Brink and Caitlin Clark

Clark isn't considered the best player in the WNBA; that title belongs to A'ja Wilson. However, Clark has emerged as the biggest superstar in the WNBA. Whether you like it or not, she's more than just a shooter. She's a superstar.
