Travis Hunter Is The Best Player In College Football
Travis Hunter followed head coach Deion Sanders to Colorado and finally got national attention. Obviously, this was just one game, but with what seemed to be the entire world watching, the former No. 1 recruit in the country shined.
Colorado's Monster Day
The Buffaloes showed that they're far superior to the 3.5-win total set by the sportsbooks. This was supposed to be a transition year, where coach Sanders gets his feet wet at a Power 5 school. In today's college football, a team can be completely transformed in just one offseason, and Colorado is a prime example of that. When you bring in great players, they make great plays.
Perhaps the most fascinating stat of the day is that Hunter played 129 snaps out of the 160 total in the game. He barely got a break and still wasn't out of breath after the game, dancing in the locker room. Hunter's gaudy stat line includes 11 catches, 119 yards, 1 interception, and 3 tackles.
Quarterback Shedeur Sanders and running back Dylan Edwards had absurd stat lines as well. Sanders threw for over 500 yards, while Edwards got into the endzone four times, Saturday. Colorado has a big three on offense with the utmost confidence in themselves.
Conclusion
Amongst the many spectacular moments from the Buffs, Hunter made plays that literally made me jump off my couch. He's an elite talent on both sides of the ball, and if he's not already rich off NIL deals, he's in for a massive payday. Travis Hunter is inexplicably polarizing. You have to see it to understand.
