Tucker Kraft's Offense Is Too Crowded For A Fantasy Stud
As mentioned earlier, the other half of the Packer's tight end room is last year's third third-round pick, Tucker Kraft. Kraft played in all 17 games and had 31 receptions for 355 yards and 2 touchdowns, but was used a blocker early in the season with Musgrave on the field. What was said about Musgrave applies to Kraft in terms of there being so many great options in the passing game for Green Bay.
Once Musgrave went out with an injury, Kraft became a solid fantasy starter, with around four catches and 50 yards a game; from Week 11 and on, Kraft never finished lower than a TE2 (TE24, TE11, TE20, TE12, TE6, TE16, TE13, TE20) which is good for a free-agent tight end. However, with Musgrave back this year, Kraft will lose a lot of work in the passing game, which makes him hard to trust as a pick.
Staying away from the Packers' tight ends in re-draft may be the best way to go because they could be anyone on any given week, making them a risky start every week. In best ball formats, go ahead and take a shot on Kraft late in drafts because we saw last year that he can be productive if he is the lead tight end for Green Bay.
