Ty Johnson's Fantasy Outlook In 2024

Ty Johnson is going into his second year with the Bills, where he lacked much usage in his first year. Johnson only saw the field consistently after the Bills brought in Joe Brady in week 11 to fill in as the team's Offensive Coordinator. At this point, he still only got 30 carries and 7 receptions, which gave him a total of 188 yards.

Brady will return to the Bills in the 2024 season, which gives some hope that he will want to use Johnson again. However, there was not much competition for James Cook's backup in 2023, which may be why Johnson got the usage he did. The Bills brought in rookies Ray Davis and Frank Gore Jr. this off-season to add more support in the running back position.

If either rookie has an impressive offseason, they could easily take over the backup role. James Cook is expected to take a solid majority of the team's teams, which takes away a lot of value from any other RBs on the Bills. Johnson could be a decent handcuff for Cook owners but will likely be available in most leagues’ waiver wires.

Our consensus projections for Johnson in the 2024 season are 3 carries for 16 yards and 0  rushing touchdowns. As well as 4 receptions, 30 yards, and 0 touchdowns.
