Tyler Allgeier Needs This For Consistent Fantasy Value
How the Falcons ran their offense last season made many fantasy players lose brain cells. Last year, Allgeier was used a lot more than Bijan Robinson. No disrespect to Allgeier, as he is a very talented player. Last season, he had 186 carries for 683 rushing yards and 4 rushing touchdowns.
Two of his four touchdowns came in Week 1, when he was the RB4 overall, his highest finish of the season. He had four more double-digit scoring weeks in Week 7, Week 9, Week 16, and Week 17. For the other 12 weeks of the season, Allgeier hurt your starting lineup weekly.
As a pass catcher, Allgeier was targeted 23 times, and he made 18 catches for 193 receiving yards and scored a touchdown. Here is the big issue now for Tyler Allgeier: his biggest ally, Arthur Smith, is gone. It's likely his reps will go down as a result, but he will still get a solid amount.
The Falcons don't have much talent behind him, and if Bijan goes down due to injury, Allgeier will be the next man up. He is still a solid option in fantasy if you want a cuff option at running back.
Our consensus projections for Allgeier in the 2024 season are 120 carries for 425 yards and 2 rushing touchdowns. As well as 30 receptions, 248 yards, and 1 touchdown.
