Tyler Boyd Has A New Team But The Same Role In Fantasy
Tyler Boyd has been one of the most underrated wide receivers in the NFL today. He has constantly put up solid stats for most of his career, and last season didn't disappoint for the Bengals. But he did disappoint fantasy managers. With 98 targets, Boyd had 67 receptions for 667 receiving yards and 2 touchdowns.
Boyd only had one week as a WR1 and one week as a WR2. The rest of the time, he struggled as a WR3 or worse. This is on the Bengals offense, who threw the ball more than the Titans project to, even with Brian Callahan coming from Cincy.
In Cincinnati, he was mainly the number 3 receiver in the depth chart and needed a change of scenery. Boyd signed a one-year prove-it contract with the Tennessee Titans. He will still be the number 3 receiver behind DeAndre Hopkins and Calvin Ridley.
However, he's gonna face competition from Nick Westbrook-Ikhine, Treylon Burks, and Jha’Quan Jackson. It's a crowded receiver room, but if Boyd stands out, remains healthy, and consistently plays well, Boyd could be a solid late-round selection to stash on your roster.
