Tyler Higbee Might Miss Entire 2024 Fantasy Season
In the 2023 season, Tyler Higbee took a step back from what he’d done in the years past. He failed to reach 500 yards for the first time in five years while only missing weeks 14 and 18. In the playoffs, Higbee tore both his ACL and MCL, which will more than likely keep him sidelined until at least halfway through the 2024 season, with the potential to miss the entire season.
As unfortunate as his injury is, when he was on the field last year, he had four top-ten finishes and two top-16 finishes, and the rest of the time, he was outside the top 20 tight ends.
If he does see the field this season, it would be no surprise that he was eased back into it after an injury like that. The Rams also signed TE Colby Parkinson to a 3-year, $22.5 million deal. If Parkinson has a good start to the season, he could keep the starting role even if Higbee returns. Higbee should not be drafted in any form of redraft, but if he heals steadily, he could be someone to watch on the waiver wire.
Our consensus projections for Higbee in the 2024 season are 29 receptions, 290 yards, and 2 touchdowns.
