Let's get into this week's picks and best bets.
11:00 AM Kickoffs
Texas A&M at #11 Ole Miss
Game Information:
Location: Oxford Stadium
Channel: ESPN
Texas A&M vs Ole Miss Odds:
Spread: Ole Miss -3 (-110), Texas A&M +3 (-110)
O/U: 54.5 (-110)
ML: Ole Miss -150, Texas A&M +125
Season Performances:
Season Records: Ole Miss (7-1), Texas A&M (5-3)
ATS: Ole Miss (6-2), Texas A&M (4-4)
O/U: Ole Miss (3-5), Texas A&M (4-4)
Home/Away: Ole Miss (5-0 H), Texas A&M (0-2 A)
Team Streak: Ole Miss (W4), Texas A&M (W1)
What To Bet and Why:
No reason to get cute here. Ole Miss is a better football team and hasn't lost at home this year. Avoid the spread and take Ole Miss ML which is only at -150 compared to -110 for the spread.
Best Bet:
Ole Miss ML -150
UConn at #19 Tennessee
Game Information:
Location: Neyland Stadium
Channel: ESPN
UConn vs Tennessee Odds:
Spread: Tennessee -35.5 (-105), UConn +35.5 (-115)
O/U: 54.5 (-110)
ML: N/A
Season Performances:
Season Records: Tennessee (6-2), UConn (1-7)
ATS: Tennessee (5-3), UConn (4-4)
O/U: Tennessee (4-3-1), UConn (3-5)
Home/Away: Tennessee (4-0 H), UConn (0-5)
Team Streak: Tennessee (W1), UConn (L2)
What To Bet and Why:
Tennessee is exactly a five-touchdown favorite. I am never comfortable betting on a large favorite to cover a huge spread. Instead, let's look at the O/U. The number currently sits at 54.5 and I feel that Tennessee can get close to this number by themselves. We would need a very small production from the UConn offense to hit this over. I feel like this game will finish with a score of something like Tennessee 45 and UConn 13 which would smash the over.
Best Bet:
O 54.5
Arkansas at Florida
Game Information:
Location: Ben Hill Griffin Stadium
Channel: ESPN2
Arkansas vs Florida Odds:
Spread: Florida -6 (-110), Arkansas +6 (-110)
O/U: 49.5 (-110)
ML: Florida (-245), Arkansas (+205)
Season Performances:
Season Records: Florida (5-3), Arkansas (2-6)
ATS: Florida (3-5), Arkansas (4-4)
O/U: Florida (4-3-1), Arkansas (4-3-1)
Home/Away: Florida (4-0 H), Arkansas (0-3 A)
Team Streak: Florida (L1), Arkansas (L6)
What To Bet and Why:
Florida is a game away from bowl eligibility and coach Billy Napier knows that. He's going to have this team ready to go after their loss to Georgia. Arkansas is under immense turmoil and this game will be Sam Pittman's last as the head coach of the Razorbacks. That doesn't feel right to say but here we are.
Best Bet:
Florida -6
Jacksonville State at South Carolina
Game Information:
Location: Williams-Brice Stadium
Channel: ESPNU
Jacksonville State vs South Carolina Odds:
Spread: South Carolina -15.5 (-114), Jacksonville State +15.5 (-106)
O/U: 54.5
ML: South Carolina (-720), Jacksonville State (+500)
Season Performances:
Season Records: South Carolina (2-6), Jacksonville State (7-2)
ATS: South Carolina (4-4), Jacksonville State (6-2-1)
O/U: South Carolina (4-4), Jacksonville State (3-6)
Home/Away: South Carolina (2-1 H), Jacksonville State (3-1 A)
Team Streak: South Carolina (L4), Jacksonville State (W2)
What To Bet and Why:
Jacksonville State has a bye after this game so expect the Gamecocks from the C-USA to give the Gamecocks from the SEC to give them their best shot.
Best Bet:
Jacksonville State +15.5
2:30 PM Kickoff
Game Information:
Location: Sanford Stadium
Channel: CBS
Missouri vs Georgia Odds:
Spread: Georgia -15.5 (-110), Missouri +15.5 (-110)
O/U: 54.5
ML: Georgia -720, Missouri +500
Season Performances:
Season Records: Georgia (8-0), Missouri (7-1)
ATS: Georgia (3-5), Missouri (5-3)
O/U: Georgia (5-3), Missouri (6-2)
Home/Away: Georgia (5-0 H), Missouri (2-0 A)
Team Streak: Georgia (W8), Missouri (W2)
What To Bet and Why:
I have a parlay for this game. Without Brock Bowers, Dominic Lovett has become Carson Beck's favorite target. In the past two games, Lovett has amassed 13 catches and 155 yards. I also feel very comfortable saying Georgia wins in this matchup.
Best Bet:
Georgia ML and Dominic Lovett O 63.5 receiving yards
3:00 PM Kickoff
Auburn at Vanderbilt
Game Information:
Location: FirstBank Stadium
Channel: SECN
Auburn vs Vanderbilt Odds:
Spread: Auburn -12.5 (-110), Vanderbilt +12.5 (-110)
O/U: 49.5 (-110)
ML: Auburn -530, Vanderbilt +390
Season Performances:
Season Records: Auburn (4-4), Vanderbilt (2-7)
ATS: Auburn (3-5), Vanderbilt (1-8)
O/U: Auburn (3-4-1), Vanderbilt (7-1-1)
Home/Away: Auburn (1-2 A), Vanderbilt (2-3)
Team Streak: Auburn (W1), Vanderbilt (L7)
What To Bet and Why:
It seemed like last week Auburn found some rhythm on the offensive side of the ball. Vanderbilt has the worst defense in the SEC. Auburn will be able to score at will by running or passing the ball.
Best Bet:
Auburn O 31.5 Team Total Points
6:30 PM Kickoff
Kentucky at Mississippi State
Game Information:
Location: Davis Wade Stadium
Channel: SECN
Kentucky vs Mississippi State Odds:
Spread: Kentucky -3.5 (-102), Mississippi State +3.5 (-120)
O/U: 45.5
ML: Kentucky -182, Mississippi State +150
Season Performances:
Season Records: Kentucky (5-3), Mississippi State (4-4)
ATS: Kentucky (4-4), Kentucky (2-6)
O/U: Kentucky (6-2), Mississippi State (4-3-1)
Home/Away: Kentucky (1-1 A), Mississippi State (3-2)
Team Streak: Kentucky (L3), Mississippi State (L3)
What To Bet and Why:
Simply put I don't see a way that the Mississippi State defense stops this Kentucky offense. With that being the case the Mississippi State offense will need to put up points to match Kentucky. And with what I've seen from backup quarterback Mike Wright I don't like the Bulldogs chances.
Best Bet:
Kentucky-3.5
7:00 PM Kickoff
Game Information:
Location: Bryant-Denny Stadium
Channel: CBS
LSU vs Alabama Odds:
Spread: Alabama -3 (-115), LSU +3 (-105)
O/U: 60.5
ML: Alabama -166, LSU +138
Season Performances:
Season Records: Alabama (7-1), LSU (6-2)
ATS: Alabama (5-3), LSU (5-3)
O/U: Alabama (5-2-1), LSU (8-0)
Home/Away: Alabama (4-1 H), LSU (2-1 A)
Team Streak: Alabama (W6), LSU (W3)
What To Bet and Why:
Don't overthink it. LSU has one of the best offenses in the country and if Alabama wants to keep up with this LSU offense they'll have to put points on the board. Alabama can also take advantage of an LSU defense that's beat up in the secondary and is starting young corners.
Best Bet:
O 60.5
