Week Four Waiver-Wire Must Adds

Week three is just about over! Make sure to check the waivers for these must-add players before Wednesday morning!

Jauan Jennings, WR, San Francisco 49ers
(44% rostered on Sleeper)

Did anyone have a Jauan Jennings breakout game on their 2024 bingo card? Jennings came out of nowhere in week three, catching 11 passes for 175 yards and three touchdowns. He would end up scoring 46.50 fantasy points and finish as the WR1 on the week. It was widely anticipated Brandon Aiyuk would finally have the kind of game worthy of his yearly salary of $30 million, but Jennings quickly ended that dream. Jennings’ 12 targets show the trust Brock Purdy has in him which is still valuable when the receiving core is back to full health.

As long as Deebo is out, Jauan Jennings is a worthy flex-start. He will lose a good bit of value in a few weeks, assuming Aiyuk gets caught up to speed and both Deebo and Kittle return from injury. But until then, Jennings is a great player to roll with if your wide receiver room is riddled with injury or is a great sell-high player since the chances of him playing a game like that again are slim to none. If he is on waivers, pick him up before your league mates do.

Suggested FAAB bid: 7-10%

Allen Lazard, WR, New York Jets
(39% rostered on Sleeper)

This season, the Aaron Rodgers/Allen Lazard connection is just like old times. The reunited Packers teammates are connecting well the past few weeks, with Lazard catching three balls for 48 yards and a touchdown last Sunday for 13.80 fantasy points. He has only two fewer receiving yards and two more touchdowns on the season than star receiver Garrett Wilson. The pecking order for the Jets receiving options is fairly established with Wilson and Lazard being the top two options.

Garrett Wilson will undoubtedly league the team in almost every major receiving statistic, but Lazard should remain the clear number two. These are not the Jets of old, so the Lazard should certainly be a top waiver addition as a trusted receiver of Aaron Rodgers. He is not quite in weekly flex start value but is a great spot start when a starter is on bye or is injured.

Suggested FAAB bid: 5-7%

Darnell Mooney, WR, Atlanta Falcons
(43% rostered on Sleeper)

The Darnell Mooney renaissance is nice to see. He has not done much since his 2021 season where he caught 81 passes for 1,055 yards and four touchdowns, so the start to this season is a surprise, to say the least. He currently leads the Falcons in receiving yards and is second on the team in receiving touchdowns.

Kirk Cousins is still building chemistry with his receivers, and Darnell Mooney appears to be earning his trust, catching eight passes for 66 yards this past Sunday, good for 14.60 fantasy points. While it is still early in the season, Mooney does have two WR2 finishes already, which is amazing value for a guy who is owned in less than 50% of leagues. Mooney has the chance to carve out a valuable role in an offense that has no clear order of operation, making him one of the more appealing waiver options this week.

Suggested FAAB bid: 5-7%

Bucky Irving, RB, Tampa Bay Buccaneers
(44% rostered on Sleeper)

Bucky Irving could very well be the most talented running back on the Buccaneers. He already has two games with over 60 rushing yards while only having nine carries in both matchups. Last week he registered 11.40 fantasy points, with nine carries for 70 yards and three receptions for another 14 yards. Irving should be slowly getting more work as starting running back Rachaad White continues to struggle.

Rachaad White has been a very inefficient back since entering the league and has only 66 yards on the year, despite having six more carries than Bucky Irving. Irving adds much-needed juice to a running back room that lacks just that and could become a solid flex play or even waiver-wire darling if he were to beat out Rachaad White for the starting role at any point in the season.

Suggested FAAB bid: 10-12%

*Disclaimer- This was written before Monday’s matchup of the Bills/Jaguars and Commanders/Bengals. Players' weekly finishes are subject to change.
