What’s Aaron Looking At? You Be The Judge, Yankees Cheating?

Updated: Jun 14, 2023

The New York Yankees have been under a lot of heat the past two days after Aaron Judge glanced toward the Yankee’s dugout on Monday night in the eighth inning against the Toronto Blue Jays. Judge would hit a solo home run right after he glanced in the direction of the dugout and Yankees first base coach Travis Chapman.

Blue Jays pitcher Jay Jackson stated that he was kind of tipping pitches, and the Yankees were picking up on it. Well, if that is the case then that is his fault.

Judge stated that he heard players from his dugout heckling the umpire and that is why he glanced over to see what was going on. I can tell you there was no heckling on the umpire from the Yankees when they were up 6-0 in the eighth inning.

The Yankees Did Not Cheat

Judge got a sign from either in the dugout or the first base coach of what pitch was coming, and he hit a home run, and it’s perfectly fine. If the Blue Jays are going to be tipping their pitches, then the Yankees have all the right to tell the player what pitch is coming without doing anything illegal. I didn’t hear any garbage cans banging or see any cameras in center field.

What New York did is what every single team does in baseball, and it is only a big deal because it is the Yankees, Aaron Judge, and it’s the middle of May and there is nothing going on in the world of baseball.
