What The Lakers Need To Do At The Trade Deadline
As the February 8th deadline approaches, I've been hearing a lot of rumors. So, I thought I'd share my own. Frankly, I no longer want D'Angelo Russell on the Lakers, and I'm starting to lose faith in Rui Hachimura as well. It's time to bring in some youth and make a push for success.
Lakers Involved In A Three-Team Trade?
Alright, here's the plan: we'll trade Dangelo and our 2025 1st round pick to the Atlanta Hawks in exchange for Dejounte Murray. After that, we'll trade Rui Hachimara, Jalen Hood-Schifino, and our 2027 2nd-round pick to the Brooklyn Nets for Mikal Bridges.
I know this might not be entirely realistic, but I think it's worth a shot. The Nets aren't doing Bridges any favors by wasting his career while they struggle to pick up the pieces from their failed Big Three.
The pairing of Trae Young and Dejounte Murray didn't work for the Hawks, as they both require the ball. With a move to the Lakers, Murray has the chance to play as a true point guard.
End Of Rant
I'm not a professional. I'm just a fan who thinks we need a change and see two available players. Also, it worked in the trade machine, but let me know your trade ideas in the comments!
