Where Could Top Quarterbacks Land In The 2025 NFL Draft

The 2025 NFL Draft is still far away, but it is never too early to look at some top quarterback prospects. This list will inevitably change in many ways until next April, including which NFL teams will be looking for a new signal caller, whether these quarterbacks live up to the preseason hype, and if there are any breakout stars.

So, without further ado, here are landing spots for five of the top-ranked quarterbacks of the 2025 NFL Draft, according to PFF. This article focuses only on quarterbacks in the draft and not any other skill position.

Shedeur Sanders - Colorado (Ranked #2 by PFF) - Top 5 First Round

Shedeur Sanders

Team projection: New York Giants—The G-Men have a short leash on former first-round pick Daniel Jones, and if the team struggles with him under center, they could draft his replacement.

Quarterback analysis: Shedeur Sanders is my top-rated quarterback in the 2025 NFL Draft, as many others agree. While his team had an unsuccessful season, finishing 4-7 after a good start, Sanders put the world on notice from his first game with a four-touchdown and 500+ yard performance. But no one has more pressure to do well this season than Sanders. Can he live up to the hype?

Carson Beck - Georgia (Ranked #1 by PFF) - Top 10 First Round

Carson Beck

Team projection: Las Vegas Raiders - The black and silver have a good roster but are expected to be held back by quarterback play. With Gardner Minshew or Aidan O'Connell under center, the offense could be limited this season. Even if they must trade up, Las Vegas will draft its franchise quarterback in 2025.

Quarterback analysis: Carson Beck is already used to winning a lot. He sat on the bench during two National Championships, and in his first year starting, he went 12-1 with a bowl victory. With a very talented roster, expectations are high for Beck to succeed and raise his draft stock. If the 21-year-old has a strong season, he could be reunited with star tight-end Brock Bowers.

Quinn Ewers - Texas (Ranked #3 by PFF) - First Round

Quinn Ewers

Team projection: New Orleans Saints - The Saints have Derek Carr locked in for a few more years, but the signal caller could be on the hot seat if New Orleans misses the playoffs. Ewers probably will not be a high first-round pick, so he could fall right to Crescent City.

Quarterback analysis: Quinn Ewers had a strong year with Texas, leading the team to a 10-2 record and a CFP appearance. But after losing his top running back, receiver, and tight end, there is no guarantee Ewers can keep it up. But even if he has a down year, Ewers should be a first-round pick. Jordan Love was in the same boat in 2020 after a slow year ahead of the draft because he lost his top playmakers. That did not stop him from being selected in the first round.

Connor Weigman - Texas A&M (Ranked #6 by PFF) - Second Round

Connor Weigman

Team projection: Seattle Seahawks—The Seahawks hope Geno Smith will have a successful year, but the 33-year-old could be replaced if Seattle misses the playoffs again. Taking Weigman in the second round gives Geno another year with the team while the Texas A&M star develops.

Quarterback analysis: With only four starts last season before suffering a season-ending foot injury, it is hard to project where Weigman will go in 2025. But he played well before his injury, and if he can give a full season's worth of production, he could be a first-round pick by April. With 16 touchdown passes in eight career starts and a 5-3 record, Weigman could be a superstar under Mike Elko.

Jalen Milroe - Alabama (Ranked #4 by PFF) - Second Round

Jalen Milroe

Team projection: Los Angeles Rams—Matthew Stafford is still playing at a high level, but the Rams could take a chance on Milroe in the second round and let him develop for a few years to ultimately become the quarterback of the future.

Quarterback analysis: As great as he was in the passing game, Milroe was also a great runner, with 23 passing and 12 rushing touchdowns. He would be the most explosive and mobile quarterback the Rams have ever had and would have time to fix his inconsistencies learning under Matthew Stafford. This could be the steal of the draft.
