Which Games Will The Eagles Wear Their Iconic Kelly Green Jerseys In 2024?
The iconic Kelly Green uniforms are set to make a comeback in the 2024 NFL season for the Philadelphia Eagles. It will be the second straight season the team is bringing back this fan-favorite jersey choice. Philly fans can expect to see these beloved jerseys in two key matchups.
The Eagles Picked Two Important Matchups
Week 9 (Nov. 3): Sunday Night Football vs. Jacksonville Jaguars:
Just like last season, Philly will wear their historic jersey in front of a national audience. Jacksonville is still an ascending team and coached by former Eagles Super Bowl 52 Champion Doug Pederson. The Jags went 9-8 last year and missed the postseason. This will be a rematch of the 2022 season where the Eagles won 29-21.
Week 17 (Dec. 29): NFC East Rivalry vs. Dallas Cowboys:
Philadelphia and Dallas seem to alternate every other year on who reigns supreme in the NFC East. In fact, it's been about two decades since there has been a repeat division winner. This is the longest streak in the NFL. Luckily, it is Dallas who is defending a division title, so another team could be due in 2024.
The Eagles and Cowboys spilt the season series last year with each winning in their home stadium. Philadelphia has not swept the Cowboys since the 2011 season.
Recapping 2023
Were these jerseys a good luck charm last year? Philadelphia wore the Kelly Green twice in 2023 going 2-0. The first was a Sunday Night Football win over the Miami Dolphins in October. Philly followed that up with a Thanksgiving weekend overtime thriller over the Buffalo Bills. Unfortunately, the team went on a losing streak in December. Hopefully that will not be the case in 2024.
