Who Qualified For USA In Archery (2024 Olympics)
The 2024 Summer Olympics are just a week away, and it is a super exciting time. Whether this event takes place in the Summer or Winter, the Olympics never disappoints. In the days leading up to the Olympics, upcoming articles will spotlight the Olympic athletes who have made Team USA. The first feature will be on a sport that targets precision and accuracy: Archery.
Brady Ellison
Ellison is the sole male qualifier and the only archer for Team USA that has previously won an Olympic medal. He has secured a total of three medals in his Olympic career: two silvers and one bronze. Ellison is a notable name in the Archery world, winning 18 different medals in World Championship competitions. Hopefully Ellison can finally get that Gold Medal in this year's Olympics.
Casey Kaufhold
Casey's journey is quite remarkable. She's set to compete in her first Olympics, and at 20, she's the youngest member of Team USA to qualify. Remarkably, she has risen to become the number one ranked woman in World Archery's recurve category, the first to achieve this since 2001. Her innate talent in the sport makes her an athlete to watch closely as she is one of the best young archers today.
Jennifer Mucino-Fernandez
Mucino-Fernandez stands out as she competed in the 2020 Olympic Team in Tokyo, Japan. Her archery journey began at the age of 9, inspired by the London 2012 Olympic Games. Trained by her mother, Mucino-Fernandez honed her skills in Mexico. It will be exciting to see her perform in the Olympics once more.
Catalina GNoriega
Reports indicate that GNoriega had a fluctuating experience throughout the trial process, yet she secured a spot on the roster. This marks her first qualification for the Olympics, although she was previously an alternate for the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games. Additionally, GNoriega was a member of the 2018 Youth Olympic team representing the USA. Despite the challenging journey, she now has the opportunity to leave her mark on the Olympic stage.
The Full Team
These four athletes will represent Team USA in the Olympic Archery Games. It's a tremendous opportunity for each of them, and hopefully, they will excel and perform exceptionally well. The aim is to secure a medal for the United States, and they have a great chance to achieve this goal.
