Who Should Be The Madden 25 Cover Athlete?
Every year, the video game company EA Sports releases a new Madden NFL game where fans can play as their favorite NFL players and teams. The game is annually released every August and usually adds new features alongside it.
There are multiple exciting game modes to play, such as Franchise, where you get to be the GM, coach, or player of your favorite team and guide them to the Super Bowl; Superstar, where you play as yourself as you attempt to make the NFL; and Ultimate Team, which features card collecting based on star players.
But one of the most anticipated details about the release isn't even about the game itself. It's about who will be on the video game's cover. In Madden NFL 24, Bills quarterback Josh Allen graced the cover. Before him, stars like Patrick Mahomes, Lamar Jackson, Antonio Brown, and Odell Beckham Jr. have also appeared on the cover.
But who will be on the cover of the upcoming release? Here are ten players who could grace the cover of Madden NFL 25.
Caleb Williams, Quarterback, Chicago Bears
The first overall pick of the NFL Draft would be a popular pick to be the cover athlete and already has some of the league's fastest-selling jerseys.
Derrick Henry, Running Back, Baltimore Ravens
The latest running back to rush for 2,000 yards, Henry has been a household name for a while now and could debut on the Madden cover with his new team.
Aaron Donald, Defensive Tackle, Los Angeles Rams
The future Hall of Famer recently retired, and the Madden 99 Club Member would be a pick that EA Sports would love to honor.
Justin Jefferson, Wide Receiver, Minnesota Vikings
One of the league's most exciting stars, Jefferson, would bring the Griddy onto the Madden cover.
Aaron Rodgers, Quarterback, New York Jets
The future Hall of Famer has long waited to be on the Madden cover. Could this year finally be his turn?
Jordan Love, Quarterback, Green Bay Packers
The young quarterback had a great first season under center in Green Bay and could earn an extension, especially his face on the video game.
Joe Burrow, Quarterback, Cincinnati Bengals
After returning from his season-ending injury, Joe Burrow has fans excited for his return. It would be even better for him to be on the Madden cover, too.
CJ Stroud, Quarterback, Houston Texans
The electric Texans quarterback had a great rookie season and could also showcase the team's new uniforms on the video game cover.
T.J. Watt, Linebacker, Pittsburgh Steelers
The former DPOTY is a fan-favorite in the Steel City and deserves a shot on the Madden NFL cover.
Travis Kelce, Tight End, Kansas City Chiefs
Travis Kelce made headlines when he started dating Taylor Swift. He could return to the news with an appearance on the famous video game cover.
