It is a known fact that Real Madrid has a lot of stars, especially when it comes to their attacking line. Endrick has opened up about how it is challenging to play for Madrid and find minutes.
For a while, Endrick has been struggling to play more minutes at Real Madrid. It is clear that Carlo Ancelotti doesn’t consider the young talent as a regular player in the starting XI.
While Endrick is a great talent, he is facing a lot of competition. With Kylian Mbappé, Vinícius Júnior, and Rodrygo being the options for the front line, it is difficult for Endrick to find a spot for himself.
In an interview with UOL, Endrick opened up about what it means to play for Spanish giants. He said the following, as quoted by Marca:
“Here I am, playing with many talented players who can be considered the best in the world. It’s incredible to have them all by my side, helping me, but I need to improve in every drill to be at their level, not just in matches but also in training sessions.”
Endrick scored five goals in around 400 minutes. A lot of people can see that he has the talent, but perhaps this isn’t enough to make him a starter.
While he is grateful for playing at Real Madrid, Endrick admitted the struggle as he said “being part of Real Madrid is an honor, but also a challenge.”
Endrick still had good things to say about playing for the Spanish side. In the same interview, he said:
“Here [at Real Madrid], I learned a lot about the intensity of the matches, but not only that. With so much talent around me and against me, it’s possible to learn different solutions, combining skills and movements with my teammates. Here, I can count on something special every time.”
Endrick might still want to prove himself at Real Madrid, but he needs to face reality as well. Of course, it is an honor to play for Madrid, but is honor better than not playing at all?
The Brazilian has the talent, but it’s not used. If things remained the same, he might want to consider a future move to save his career.
Real Madrid are in a heated race for the La Liga title which makes it more difficult for Endrick to play minutes. Whether he would stay or leave is yet to be seen.
