Well, the Patriots can’t even tank right. This team has been laughably bad all season, but coming off a six-game losing streak, New England emptied the playbook and the tank against a Buffalo team playing their backups. If they had lost the game, they would have owned the number 1 overall pick in the 2025 NFL draft, but now they drop down to 4th in the order.

This Game Didn’t Establish Culture

Enough about this game being a “culture builder.” This was our backups playing the Bill’s third stringers. It does nothing for Drake Maye’s confidence because he didn’t play. Milton played and looked like a representative backup QB. This game only hurt the franchise’s chance to get a sizable haul for the first overall pick in the 2025 draft.

Everyone will point to how solid Joe Milton and the offensive line played, but they were playing competition that was finally on their level. Is it good for experience building? Yes, but damn, counting this as a massive win can change the course of the franchise is foolish.

That might be the stupidest win of the season, and all the players and staff were hyped. I hope everyone on the staff and in the front office gets gutted. Wolf and Mayo should still be fired in the morning; how much culture was established in that case?

Where Do The Patriots Pick Now?

They would be picking 4th overall since New York, Cleveland, and Tennessee all have three wins, and the Patriots have four. However, they can’t go any further down than that. This doesn’t kill their chances of moving down but significantly hurts the capital you would get in return.

Now, three of the potential QB-needy teams are in front of you in a class with three solid prospects just makes that pick so difficult to trade for the Bryce Young package.

Who Could The Patriots Pick At Fourth

Hopefully, one of the QBs, one of the OTs, and Travis Hunter go, leaving the Patriots to select 6’5 WR Tetairoa McMillan from Arizona. This kid is every bit the prospect Drake London was, and he has the speed to go along with his elite size and strength. His catch radius will also help Drake Maye in his second season. He plays outside and gives them an elite option in the red zone.

End Of My Patriots Rant

I don’t think I’ve ever been as upset about a Patriots win as I am right now. It is a downright catastrophe that they won this game, and Mayo will have to go to the podium and puff his chest out about winning a game they should’ve lost. I never wanted to tank, but after you go 3-13, you might as well finish the job and get the best pick out of it. It’s pathetic and honestly predictable
