Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens easily had the best match of the 2025 WWE Elimination Chamber PLE. With two chamber matches, that says a lot about this unsanctioned fight. These real-life friends truly acted like the most violent of enemies, leaving it all in the ring. After all of the blood and violence, there was a surprise return, making Owens path to WrestleMania become clear.
WWE Classic – Kevin Owens Vs. Sami Zayn, Unsanctioned
This match had it all. From a double-stack table spot, to knocking out referees, this unsanctioned match will go down in WWE history. Owens went as far as to shoot take the barbed wire-wrapped steel chair straight to the face, followed by taking a Blue Thunder Bomb onto the same chair moments later. After delivering numerous vicious powerbombs onto the ring apron, Owens finally rolled the lifeless Zayn back in for the win.
WWE Surprise Return
While this may be a conclusion to his story with Sami Zayn, Owens’ WrestleMania story may be set. After the victory, Owens tore the mat off the cement floor and set Zayn up for a package piledriver. Making his surprise return, Randy Orton came out to put an end to that. It was a package piledriver from Owens that injured Orton weeks ago. Orton got some revenge via RKO this evening. Owens was lucky to roll out of the ring after the RKO. He was preparing to use a punt kick, a vintage move from him that was banned in 2020.
End Of My Kevin Owens WWE Storyline Rant
Kevin Owens’ path to WrestleMania seems clear, and it is to fight off an Apex Predator that’s seeking revenge. Banned move versus banned move, package piledriver versus punt kick, which banned move will lead to a victory at WrestleMania. Of note, the match has not been made official as of early Sunday morning.
