Jey Uso launched his unexpected road to WrestleMania after winning the WWE Royal Rumble. By doing so, the victorious underdog earned the right to a championship match of his choosing, at WrestleMania 41. Uso made his intentions clear on the 02/10/25 edition of WWE Monday Night Raw, quieting any doubt there may have been.
After five minutes of “yeeting”, Gunther had seen enough, knocking Jey Uso off the announce table and throwing him into the ring. Gunther followed up with his signature stiff chops and a vicious powerbomb. WWE officials tried to split them up, but Gunther tossed them aside and hit Uso with another powerbomb. Gunther could be heard shouting at Uso, warning him not to choose him as his WrestleMania opponent.
The beaten Uso grabbed a microphone and announced which champion he would face at WrestleMania. It’s official, Gunther will defend the WWE World Heavyweight Championship, at WrestleMania, against Jey Uso. Gunther darted at Uso, but an increase in WWE officials kept them apart.
This storyline began before Royal Rumble, Uso was unsuccessful in his first shot at Gunther, and the WWE World Heavyweight Championship. Gunther was personal in his heel-promos, and as stiff as ever in the contest. The drama and physicality are sure to pick up, as WrestleMania approaches. Can Jey Uso finally win in the main event, to earn his moniker in a championship match, at WrestleMania?
